Literally meaning cranberry red, this Italian holiday cocktail is sure to bring you good cheer!
What you'll need:
- Orange Liqueur (such as Grand Marnier)
Prosecco (or other sparkling wine/champagne)
Cranberry Juice
Frozen Cranberries
In a Champagne flute, add a splash of liquor followed by 2 oz of cranberry juice. Then fill the rest of the way with Prosecco. To finish, float 5 cranberries on top... Voila!
Named from the Veneto region of Italy, Prosecco is a variety of white grape that, due to its late ripening, is used in dry sparkling (spumante) and semi-sparkling (frizzante) wines. Like other sparkling wines, Prosecco is served chilled and can work as a tasty substitute for champagne in cocktails such as the Mimosa. It's best known from the Venetians who mix with fresh peach juice to create the famous Bellini cocktail.
